    Zero

     What was once so meaningless
    So frivolous to me
    Became something valuable
    I did not feel worthy

    I did not deserve your love
    A gift from you to me
    I was flattered, yet I thought
    We were not meant to be

    Two lovers forever in
    A state of happiness
    Your love for me grew and grew
    Although I felt worthless

    You changed my mind really fast
    I came to realize
    I never was a nothing
    Before your loving eyes

    I thought I was a zero
    With no alternative
    Believed I was a failure
    With nothing good to give

    But I am not a zero
    I have some true potential
    To accomplish anything
    This world has made essential

    What's important and what's not
    Is for you to decide
    Raise your voice, time to rejoice
    Love is stronger than pride

    Sometimes we all feel that we never will be good enough,so we beat ourselves up internally. Then somebody comes along and quietly changes our perspective for the better. Nice job on this!

    This piece shows so strongly the importance of a good relationship whether it be via friend or lover...we all need others to help us see what we cant, dont, or wont....great write!
