    Obligations

     My responsibilities
    The promises I've made
    Have been on a deadline that's
    Repeatedly delayed

    I have been put on the spot
    Accountable before
    It's not always easy to
    Begin another chore

    Always finish what you start
    You've heard some people say
    Sometimes I wish I could do
    Everything my own way

    But I have obligations
    I'm dependable too
    That is why I won't be shy
    To do what I must do

    I am a man of my word
    Always glad to commit
    I would tell my closest friends
    That winners never quit

    There's no dread inside my head
    I have no reservations
    About keeping promises
    And all my obligations
