What You Are To Me
Please be near, fill me with cheerDo not be far, you see
I'm aware that I should share
Just what you are to me
You're the cheese upon my pizza
And the salsa on my chip
You're the whipped cream on my sundae
Guacamole in my dip
You're the soy sauce on my sushi
And the gravy on my roast
The mustard on my corn dog
And the butter on my toast
You're the milk that makes my cereal
And the ice cream in my shake
You're the caffeine in my coffee
And the frosting on my cake
You're the chocolate in my pudding
And the ketchup on my fries
You're the croutons on my salad
And the pecans in my pies
You're the chili on my hot dog
And the chowder for my clams
You're the sugar in my candy
And the sweet glaze on my hams
You're the syrup on my pancakes
The beef in my enchilada
You're the caramel on my custard
The olives on my tostada
You're the chicken in my stew
The ranch with fried zucchini
You're the noodles in my soup
The shrimp with my linguini
You're the fruit that's in my smoothie
And the pork in my taquito
The granola on my yogurt
And the beans in my burrito
You'll know what you are to me
It's all of the above!
Is this love or deep hunger?
Food's all I'm thinking of!
