The Road Of Life
Driving on the road of lifeI had to slam my brakes
The directions to my goal
Were riddled with mistakes
Blaming the cartographer
The maker of this map
When I reached a dead end I
Believed it was a trap
Will I take the proper route?
Get there at any cost?
Am I willing to succeed
When I'm completely lost?
Caught up in a twisted path
It's been hard to discern
Where I need to take the lead
By making the right turn
Once I'm on the correct course
Will my car stay in tune?
Will I stop to sleep all day
And celebrate too soon?
When you're on the road of life
Keep moving, stay aware
If your pride pulls you aside
You never will get there
As my pace accelerates
I'm really on a roll
I have faith that someday soon
I'll make it to my goal
