    My War

     I experience a war
    That I fight every day
    Has my soul lost its control
    And made me lose my way?

    The most important battles are
    The ones I face within
    The strain put upon my brain
    Has made it hard to win

    Searching for the right people
    To help me win this war
    Some people have questioned me
    What are you fighting for?

    Some people do not believe
    That I am even sick
    Why would I resort to lie?
    This is not a cruel trick

    Schizophrenia harms me
    An illness I deplore
    I'll begin my quest to win
    Each battle in my war

    Everybody has a war
    Will you stand up and fight?
    Whether it's within or not
    Will success be in sight?
