    Like It Never Happened

     I wish I could turn back time
    To when we got along
    So much damage has been done
    I'd like to right each wrong

    Haunted by my sinful past
    I wish I could redo
    And not do what caused you grief
    And hurt the heart of you

    You're upset and I regret
    My treating you this way
    Let's start over, let's start fresh
    That's what I want to say

    Just like it never happened
    I hope you will agree
    Never to bring up a past
    That also has hurt me

    Never to dwell on the things
    That are hard to let go
    I admit, this will take time
    So we should take it slow

    Am I asking for too much?
    Am I being unfair?
    I want to move forward now
    Tell me that you still care

    Tell me that you will accept
    Every apology
    Let me show that I can grow
    And have integrity 

    In my heart, I still believe
    That we can get along
    I believe our friendship can
    Improve and remain strong
