    End Of The World

     I will do my best to make
    You forget all your fears
    Things are not as bad as they've
    Foretold over the years

    I will listen, comfort you
    I know right now it seems
    That you have lost everything
    Even your hopes and dreams

    It's not the end of the world
    There's still much to achieve
    I'll assert my faith in you
    Close your eyes and believe

    Visualize a tranquil place
    Where stress does not abide
    Let all of your problems go
    Don't think of suicide

    Do not even be depressed
    Let every worry fade
    Erase all anxiety
    You must not feel afraid

    The end of the world? Not yet
    I know it's been assumed
    That one day, to our dismay
    All of mankind is doomed

    Why obsess about something
    That you cannot control?
    Just take care of what's in there
    Your heart and yes, your soul

    Very Nice, I love this poem. If you ever have a chance check out my poem called I Lost Myself to the End of Days; its another look at the End of the World in a way. But yeah Magnificent job on this one, I give you 10.

    I like this poem. It speaks to me, and I like what it says. I would change one line, or rather, one word in one line: Instead of "You must not be afraid" I would make it "You need not be afraid" or something like that--must is a strong word, and it implies moral culpability on the part of violators. Otherwise, this trul is a poem obviously wirtten to be helpful--perhaps to yourself as well as to others--and I find it is helpful. I like it. I rate it a 10. --Michael LP, Mr. Poet
