Biography
My first and last names look redundant. My real name is Michael Michalas ( MEE-HAH-LAHS ). I began writing poetry in 1996. I really do enjoy writing poetry. It is my favorite kind of creative writing. Poetry has given me a certain literary freedom because I don't have to worry so much about punctuation, grammar, and indenting paragraphs like you would in a novel or short story. I believe that my poetry is best enjoyed in small doses, in other words, don't read too many in one sitting. I don't want you to get overwhelmed. LOL.

- I've spent the past half an hour or so reading through your work. . . And I love it! I think I've made it about half way through, you completely pull me in, I can't help but keep reading, your character bleeds through your words and I just want to give you a hug. I offer you a hand of friendship and an ear to listen should you need one. I wish I could hug the pain away
