Missing Out
In the past I tended toWithdraw myself from you
I'd bow out without a doubt
Did what I wanted to
Afraid to take the spotlight
And participate too
In all life's activities
That I refused to do
Life's not a spectator sport
I need to play the game
I can't watch the world go by
Yes, that would be a shame
That is why I'll take a stand
And raise my voice and shout
And declare to everyone
I won't be missing out
I am done with being shy
And hesitant to strive
In my quest to do my best
I know I'm apt to thrive
Take the lead, I can succeed
And do this without fear
Missing out is not for me
My reasons are sincere
Too much of my time's been spent
Wasting my life away
Life's not a spectator sport
Missing out's not okay
