    Challenges

     Challenges both great and small
    Have come across my way
    How can I face every one
    When it's just not my day?

    No one likes to come up short
    For some it's a disgrace
    I have learned what must be earned
    Is coming in first place

    Just how difficult that is
    Is really up to me
    Things are only just as tough
    As you make them to be

    Good days, bad days, in between
    No matter what you face
    Do your best in every test
    The thrill is in the race

    Challenges both old and new
    I'm confident inside
    So what if I come up short?
    At least I know I tried
