    Forgive And Forget

     To forgive and to forget
    Do both go hand in hand?
    Why are both so hard to do?
    Please help me understand

    People don't remember the
    Good things that I have done
    But they'll remember the bad
    Even if it was one

    One bad deed negates the good
    That's just how people live
    By this sad philosophy
    That barely can forgive

    You keep bringing up the past
    I've told you, I regret
    All the times that I hurt you
    For me, can you forget?

    Like it never happened, yes?
    I know the pain will stay
    Can the past stay in the past?
    It's now a brand new day

    You said not to read all in one sitting. . . But I am so entranced, I keep going, on to the next one, I can't help it. I wish so badly that you didn't have this pain and sadness inside of you, that I could help you like I have others.

    Thats a hard one. It's frustrating how the mistakes made can sometimes make more of an impact. But if someone truly loves you they should love you unconditionally. Be able to work through it and hopefully learn to apprecate and cherish the good things.
