The Hand That Feeds You
Don't bite the hand that feeds youIt is there to protect
And is there to comfort you
Please show it some respect
Please don't take advantage of
One's generosity
Do not use or go abuse
One's hospitality
Do not lie to anyone
Honesty is a must
If you ever betray them
You'll lose more than their trust
Should I love the hand that feeds
Unconditionally?
I admit I'm dependent
On what it's offered me
Don't hate the hand that feeds you
It is not getting younger
I've been an infant too long
Crying due to my hunger
I must prove I have self-worth
I'll do the best I can
My progress is overdue
It's time to be a man
I'll thank the hand that fed me
I owe my life to it
The hand that is my mother's
Would not tire or quit
Thank you Mom for everything
That you provided me
Now's my turn to earn and learn
And finally fly free
