    Schizophrenia

     The vortex of the cortex
    Of my brain has become numb
    The pills that I've been taking
    Have enhanced my cranium

    The sending from nerve endings
    Are from some new chemical
    Neurotic and psychotic
    From impulses in my skull

    The doses through osmosis
    Have relaxed my complex mind
    If they overstimulate
    Reactions are not kind

    Because I'm schizophrenic
    Schizophrenia is me
    Trapped inside my bubble
    I've learned how to break free

    The stigma of enigma
    Of my pleasure and my pain
    Schizophrenia affects
    Much more than just my brain

    Haha this is very good! Love the flow and the rhyme of this. You express yourself with a humorous attitude but the meaning from which it all stems is as if from a dark place. Very well written.

    wow, prolific write my friend, bravo! Inside your mind must be some place! the bubble you have lived in is like one where you can see and hear people around you but you are like a ghost, out of time and out of place. people all around you but you couldn't be further away if you lived in another universe. I know the feeling all to well, I don't think I have what you have but my mind does work in a similar way. i am glad you were able to break out of the bubble, sad thing is many never can. great poem my friend, very well written and gives the reader a small glimpse into your inner mind, very insightful to say the least! I am very familar with the drugs you must be on, I am a nurse in ICU/CCU. It is admazing you can write so weel as many people with your disorder lose thier mind by yoru age, really sad. I have seen it so many times in my field, and in my travels. I am glad you were able to break free from your inner prision, free from the constrints of your inner mind. I am sure the thoughts still haunt you day and night. i will have to read more to find out the rest of the story, I feel like this is just a peak through the inner window, there is much more to be seen for those who are truely blind.
