Cookie
Memories of a sweet treatWhen I was so much younger
Eat raw batter from the bowl
To satisfy my hunger
My mom used to bake cookies
The best are made from scratch
She'd bake a variety
Of cookies by the batch
Chocolate chip and oatmeal
And shortbread cookies too
Snickerdoodle, macaroon
Will taste real good to you
Peanut butter, ginger snaps
Sugar cookies are hip
And those macadamias
With that white chocolate chip
Just the thought of mom's cookies
Makes my mouth salivate
Memories of a sweet treat
I wish to duplicate
I can't wait until she's here
So she'll pass down to me
The ingredients I need
In every recipe
When it comes to baking treats
I am an eager " rookie "
How will I do my first time?
I'll ask a fortune cookie
