Rock Bottom
All was lost, no more to gain
Even my dignity
When I hit rock bottom I
Wallowed in misery
Woe is me! No sympathy
Was given right away
I felt sad, for all I had
Was just my heart to pray
My heart was the only thing
That wasn't broken, see?
I was down because my mind
Suffered an injury
You've heard of a broken heart
But of a broken brain?
I've had schizophrenia
For years, it's left a stain
A bad label given was
A stain that etched a mark
The permanent damage done
Made everything go dark
Every light that shined in me
Turned off, which was quite scary
The only hope that I had left
Was this was temporary
When you hit rock bottom, there
Is just one way to move
To the top, don't quit or stop
And get back in the groove
