    I Love You

     I cannot say " I love you "
    The word " love " is too strong
    Why am I afraid to say
    How I have felt so long?

    So should I say " I love you "?
    You know how much I care
    How I have always liked you
    What more is there to share?

    The word " love " is too powerful
    What does it mean to you?
    Should I tell you how I feel?
    Please tell me what to do

    Why can't I say " I love you "?
    I've said it in my heart
    But my tongue gets all twisted
    Before I even start

    Someday I'll say " I love you "
    I won't have to pretend
    And will you say you love me?
    You're more than just a friend

    This write is wonderful. A true struggle we all fall into. I'm one to mull over my emotions for about three seconds before I blurt them out. No matter the response, the outcome has always been a good one. I say go for it, don't let it rest on your soul too long or it loses its power and strength
