    Scars

     I'm forever haunted by
    The awful things I've done
    You remind me constantly
    That I'm the only one

    I'm the only source of pain
    That you've had to endure
    Sometimes time can heal the wounds
    For which you need a cure

    How long will it take before
    Your scars completely heal?
    All the hurt I did to you
    Was all too very real

    How much longer must I live
    With all this guilt, regret?
    Everything I've done lately
    Has made you more upset

    I no longer mean to harm
    On this, I'm very sure
    Let me be the one to help
    My intentions are pure

    One day all your scars will heal
    The ones that I did cause
    Maybe then, you'll forgive me
    And overlook my flaws
