Shadows
Even though I'm remindedConstantly of each sin
Those dark shadows of my past
Were never meant to win
Even though I'm on the edge
Of pure insanity
I won't let my mind forget
That there's a light in me
There's a light that pierces through
The shadows I created
Even though they were harmless
They were exaggerated
I made my problems bigger
Much larger than they were
And all this happened so fast
That it was all a blur
Afraid of my own shadow
But it meant me no harm
I won't panic when manic
There's no cause for alarm
I won't fret or get upset
When shadows cloud my mind
Shine a light to make things right
Leave the darkness behind
There's a light that burns so bright
The shadows cannot see
All the love sent from above
And peace inside of me
There's an inner peace I have
So I'll refuse to fear
Every shadow that I see
Will quickly disappear
