Poisonous
You've been unpredictable
I thought I understood
What kind of a friend you've been
But you're up to no good
Let's get this in the open
It's time to clear the air
I'm dismayed and feel betrayed
But you don't seem to care
After all I've done for you
You've turned your back at me
Why would a good friend do this?
Are you my enemy?
You have become poisonous
More than my heart could take
You are truly venomous
Just like a rattlesnake
You are really poisonous
Toxic beyond control
I've felt the effects of this
Even within my soul
From my body to my mind
Your poison did endure
Yet I knew it wouldn't last
Because I found the cure
To forgive and to forget
I'll let God be the judge
I still love you, I'm not mad
Or one to hold a grudge
I'll never retaliate
I've been a sinner too
God can take what's poisonous
And make it good for you
