    Hate To Hate You

     I have loved you all these years
    But has love turned to hate?
    Once I thought of leaving you
    But the guilt would be great

    Great in strength, not quality
    Will we always be two?
    Two hearts intertwined in love?
    Ready to say " I do "?

    But that was so long ago
    Now it seems like a blur
    And sometimes I ask myself
    Did love truly occur?

    We have spent that last few years
    Spinning around in vain
    Alternating back and forth
    As sad victims of pain

    Even though you've angered me
    And I have angered you
    It's been hard for me to hate
    Those crazy things you do

    That's why I hate to hate you
    Despite all that you've done
    I am also to be blamed
    You're not the only one

    What I had believed was hate
    Was passion in disguise
    When I saw the love in you
    It opened up my eyes

    You know I hate to hate you
    That's why I won't be shy
    To admit I still love you
    I'll never say " goodbye "
