Spider
You are quite a specimenA danger to my sight
I won't turn my back on you
Because I know you'll bite
You're a creature of habit
A real attention grabber
I feel fear when you are near
A venomous backstabber
I was a fool to love you
Why did the passion ebb?
Sometimes I ask myself how
I got trapped in your web
Yes, your web looked beautiful
An intricate affair
I was captured in your lies
And tangled in your snare
You're like a spider to me
And I was like a fly
That's why our relationship
Was simply meant to die
Truly, you are not for me
It's best we stay apart
Don't delay and leave today
Before you tear my heart
Like a spider sets its trap
You're ready for the kill
How many hearts did you eat
Before you had your fill?
I won't be your next victim
For I know the way out
Of your web of deception
I found the escape route
I was just a fly to you
To be eaten alive
I'm not mad, but I'm sure glad
I managed to survive
