    Poem Commentary

    I sincerely hope that this poem gets its profound message across. I should not have to apologize to those who may be offended by this poem, I am obviously pro-life in my point of view. I just hope that this poem inspires others to write about this important topic no matter what your perspective is regarding abortion.

    Unwanted

    She was pregnant at thirteen
    Her " boyfriend " ran away
    She was worried and afraid
    What would her parents say?

    Her teens were just beginning
    How would she get through school?
    Disappointing her parents
    She felt like such a fool

    This is not what she wanted
    Should pregnancy be stopped?
    Abortion was considered
    I'm glad we did adopt!

    Why should someone innocent
    Be killed inside the womb?
    Some say that it's ethical
    They're foolish to assume

    A baby that's unwanted
    Should not be terminated
    It's a child with a soul
    Don't kill what God created!

    Such a powerful message to unwed teens who are pregnant as well as the families who try to force them into abortion. I think they should know that there's a better way. Thanks again for a wonderful read and getting the message out there.
