    Good Intentions

     I never meant for you to be
    Offended, even mad
    This wasn't what I wanted
    Why did my plans go bad?

    Since you left me all alone
    I haven't been the same
    I never meant you any harm
    I am the one to blame

    I want to apologize
    And I'll insist to mention
    What I did I thought was good
    I had the best intention

    I'm so sorry, I was wrong
    I guess that's how I'll learn
    Good intentions sometimes take
    An unexpected turn

    I have learned the hard way that
    Some things don't go as planned
    Please come back to me again
    I hope you'll understand

    It often takes people a lot to admit that they are wrong but this work seems to admit that upfront and in the most humble of manners. Lots of people would probably rather see that presented in a different light but I think its perfect. Great work Schizopoet
