Considerate
In the past, I've held my tongueAvoided the absurd
I've said many foolish things
I'm judged by every word
Every word that I have said
And words I did not say
Have a great effect upon
The way I live today
I've learned from experience
Not to offend, upset
The person you're speaking to
There is much I regret
Now I think before I speak
Whatever's on my mind
In the end I don't intend
To even sound unkind
I'll be more considerate
Use wisdom in my speech
Choose my words more carefully
And practice what I preach
I hope you're considerate
In what you do or say
It's a fact that using tact
Is really the best way
