Book Of Life
My life seems like pure fictionBut take a closer look
All the stories I could tell
Could fit into a book
I am not the kind who brags
I've memorized each part
Every sentence in my book
Is written in my heart
My autobiography
Just might seem erratic
Mental illness in my life
Makes it more dramatic
Now I'm older and wiser
That's how I'm depicted
Yet a man who did not plan
To become addicted
Addicted to winning cash
Gambling only to lose
I've made many dumb mistakes
Is there any good news?
Maybe I won't publish this
Autobiography
Some things are best left secret
Not for the world to see
If there's a biographer
Who writes all about me
Written long after I die
What would its title be?
I pray there are more chapters
Left unwritten of me
I'm still here, yet I won't fear
My own mortality
When I die, please do not cry
Death is the end of strife
For those who are written in
God's precious Book Of Life
It is one of the greatest
Books that you'll ever see
I'd rather be in that book
Than some biography
