    One Last Chance

     All I need is one last chance
    To prove I've changed my ways
    Now I want to compensate
    And earn your trust and praise

    One last chance to come out clean
    Admit that I have lied
    I have hurt you, now I'm hurt
    Something inside me died

    Though I was afraid to live
    I was afraid to die
    I wanted to end the pain
    That made me cry and cry

    All the guilt I felt had me
    Thinking of suicide
    I'm so glad you intervened
    Before I even tried

    How can I be forgiven?
    Much damage has been done
    Can I enjoy life again
    Whether there's rain or sun?

    My surroundings won't matter
    In every circumstance
    Through the darkness or the light
    I got my one last chance

    I received my one last chance
    This one was overdue
    Still alive, I'm apt to thrive
    It's all because of you

    Oh this was really great. We all made mistake but what is important that we see the wrongs we have done and at least try to make amends. You seem really sincere in this poem, your words were really beautiful, and the flow was on point. It’s wonderful you had someone to help you through trying times, but remember don’t continue to beat yourself up over this ( if this was an personal poem I just assume)
