    Give me a chance to explain
    What this is all about
    All I'm asking for is the
    Benefit of the doubt

    Let me speak, tell you my side
    Before an accusation
    Everything said about me
    Was someone's fabrication

    Lies have been said about me
    And gossip has been spread
    If you want to know the truth
    You should ask me instead

    Hear me out, listen to me
    I'm innocent, it's true
    If you were wrongly accused
    Tell me, what would you do?

    Don't let others stab your back
    That makes me apprehensive
    I don't like to be accused
    Or put on the defensive

    excelence love the flow and meaning of the poem. i hated when it seems like everyone is against because they think you did or said some horrible thing, but the truth of the matter is it;s just the product of one big liar, or example of the whole truth not meaning explained.
