    Serious

     So much damage has been done
    You need to realize
    That you're ruining your life
    I see it in your eyes

    Please take me seriously
    When I'm concerned for you
    Is my worrying in vain
    Or is it overdue?

    You're actions have not been good
    And haven't been productive
    Taking those illegal drugs
    Is very self-destructive

    I have seen you waste away
    Much more than just your brain
    I've seen you use that syringe
    You've been snorting cocaine

    What you inject in your veins
    Is a cause for alarm
    I have seen the puncture marks
    Throughout each frail arm

    All of this is serious
    You don't need to get high
    All that goes right up your nose
    Will kill you, you will die

    Stop what you've been doing now
    I need to intervene
    You're my friend and I want you
    To be sober and clean

    I refuse to let you die
    Is that your destiny?
    If you continue this path
    Death is a guarantee

    Rehabilitation is
    A great necessity
    That is why I'm scheduling
    For you group therapy

    Twelve step programs work the best
    And a hospital stay
    If you listen, follow through
    I know you'll be okay
