No Disrespect
Once again, I've failed toBe there as a good friend
I have done some foolish things
That did hurt and offend
Yes, you mean the world to me
And yet I've caused you pain
Tears of sorrow have been shed
That could rival the rain
I have shown you lots of love
But what about respect?
Disrespect can turn to hate
If it is left unchecked
I need to respect you more
You're no longer a child
And you're not my enemy
Someone to be reviled
I meant you no disrespect
We need to get along
That is why I will admit
That what I did was wrong
I should treat you better now
Love only goes so far
I should also respect you
The person who you are
Yes, I think highly of you
You are noble and smart
I believe that true respect
Radiates from the heart
Not just love, but respect too
They go together now
One without the other is
What we should not allow
I love you from inside out
There's nothing I'd reject
Love is great and now I'll state
You're worthy of respect
