The Door
Hesitant to ask for helpI fell hard to the floor
Now my wounds are running deep
Even my ego's sore
Foolish pride, it did reside
Inside my hardened heart
Stubbornly, I thought I'd be
Ready to play the part
Playing the part of hero
Yes, the protagonist
My fame would spread like a flame
Falling's not on my list
I wanted to be a star
Be wealthy and much more
But there is a consequence
When you ignore the door
Doors are made to be opened
That's why they should be knocked
Someone's there to answer them
These doors were never locked
All you have to do is knock
There is no magic word
For the door to be answered
Pray to God and be heard
Reluctant to pray at all
I had fallen once more
All I had to do was pray
To Jesus, He's the Door
There is power in prayers
God listens to them all
There is no prayer too big
No request that's too small
I once thought I didn't need
Anyone to save me
I had to change my outlook
Pride is my enemy
Humble yourself for the Lord
Miracles are in store
Don't delay to ask and pray
He will answer the door
