Utopia
Could there be utopia? The chances do seem small
Paradise would be so nice
Once evil has its fall
Is this just some fantasy
I've made up in my head?
Can this whole world be redeemed
When our ethics are dead?
In a world that has no thieves
We'll have more than enough
And we will be satisfied
Because nothing is tough
I hope I will see the day
When we will right each wrong
Yearning for a time and place
Where we all get along
No more discrimination
Or prejudice to speak
We will help our fellow man
The poor, the sick, the weak
War will be an afterthought
Truces and pacts are made
There will be no murderers
At night, no one's afraid
Is my hope attainable?
A possibility?
Or are humans too wicked
In this society?
There won't be utopia
At least not in this life
Maybe a theocracy
Can put an end to strife
I believe the only way
To peace and harmony
May seem odd, but it's through God
A just authority
Only then, will we as men
See the need to obey
Since most of our governments
In God's eyes aren't okay
