The Middle
I don't need you to tell meHow much I should improve
I don't think it's your concern
Let me choose my next move
I don't want you to change me
Although I know you've tried
I guess I've been arrogant
A man with too much pride
I've been set in my own ways
And you believe that's wrong
I don't want to argue now
We have to get along
I have valued our friendship
Do you feel the same way?
I've said what I've wanted to
And you have had your say
Is there room for compromise?
This is not some riddle
There must be a way for us
To meet in the middle
We can do this, move forward
Move past our petty fights
Our relationship is due
To reach the highest heights
All because we compromised
Both sides gave in a little
Step by step, we got closer
And met right in the middle
