    Back To Basics

     I've expressed concern over
    The way this world's become
    We are so desensitized
    Jaded, indifferent, numb

    Overstimulated by
    Changing technology
    It's been so hard to keep up
    In this society

    The simpler our lives may seem
    The more complex they are
    Every new invention can
    Only take us so far

    I believe the simple things
    Cannot be overrated
    Reminiscing of the days
    That were less complicated

    It's the simple things in life
    The innocence of youth
    Back when a lie was a lie
    And the truth was the truth

    Everything that's chaotic
    Grows at a rapid rate
    Let's please get back to basics
    It never is too late
