Face The Day
It's a scary world out thereFilled with anxiety
It's a place you won't embrace
A cold society
You don't feel like getting up
No matter what I say
So instead, you'll stay in bed
Refuse to face the day
You feel safer in your room
Although it's not too fun
I've told you plenty of times
To step into the sun
Go outside and face the day
Or stay home, feel depressed
There will be a lot of time
To later stop and rest
There is so much to explore
And so much more to do
Use your imagination
Discover something new
Depression attacks your mind
But don't let it affect
The quality of your life
Which I know you'll perfect
I want to encourage you
And I feel very sure
That it takes more than just meds
Which are part of the cure
The other part, lies in your heart
A change of attitude
In your mind, you'll be inclined
To have a healthy mood
In the mood to have the will
To never run away
From life's possibilities
Able to face the day
