Biases
I am passionate aboutMy faith, philosophy
And of course my politics
Are truly dear to me
Religion and politics
Controversy lies there
So they are two topics that
I'm hesitant to share
That's because I know they could
Cause arguments, you see
It's hard to find two people
Who will always agree
We all have our biases
There's nothing wrong with these
Yet I'd rather keep silent
Than make more enemies
I could anger or offend
Say things I shouldn't mention
My belief has caused you grief?
That wasn't my intention
Yes, I have my biases
My own slant, point of view
Where I lean might seem obscene
To more people than you
You may think that I'm a fool
Or you may think I'm wise
Sometimes there are issues where
We'll never compromise
Some will not agree with me
Agree with me so far?
We'll always have biases
They make us who we are
