Structure
I was a rebellious youthMy belly had its fill
Yet I was empty inside
My pride was hard to kill
I wandered defiantly
After I left the nest
Flying free, I did not see
The errors of my quest
I did what I wanted to
Against my mother's will
Thinking only of myself
Looking for the next thrill
I was selfish, arrogant
In order to get by
Wasting my time searching for
A temporary high
I was on top of the world
But I had reached my peak
Soon my life came crashing down
My foundation was weak
I had learned the hard way that
No mistake is too small
My structure was built in haste
It was destined to fall
Mother, I appreciate
You saving me from me
The structure you helped rebuild
Was strong in quality
The morals that you taught me
Values of education
You've always had the right plan
To strengthen my foundation
I was stubborn, full of pride
And thought it was all fun
But the structure you've instilled
Made me a happy son
