Older
Time seems to accelerateFaster along the way
As we age, we turn the page
To yet another day
Looking at the calendar
I let out a big sigh
It's hard for me to accept
How quickly months pass by
Then the months melt into years
Which should come as no shock
I don't want to get older
But I can't stop the clock
Yes, I'm happy with my age
But it should not increase
Age is just a number, right?
Why can't I be at peace?
Maybe it's because I fear
Taking my final breath
Every second that passes
Is one closer to death
Why waste my time worrying
Obsessing on my fate?
Everyone is born to die
But I won't sit and wait
As long as there's life in me
I will savor each day
Treat each day like it's your last
Embrace what comes your way
You are older, wiser now
In all you say and do
Make the most of all the time
That God has given you
