    Special

    Loneliness once crept inside
    The darkest part of me
    Losing you is not the plan
    You've been the heart of me

    You and only you alone
    Were kindhearted and warm
    You have given me the strength
    To weather any storm

    Without you here by my side
    I feel lost every time
    You're the inspiration for
    My rhythm and my rhyme

    In a special way, you've been
    My muse of poetry
    Always there to shine a light
    Through the anxiety

    There's no madness to the way
    That you have soothed my pain
    And it's all in the methods
    You've used to keep me sane

    Special is what special does
    You truly are unique
    Giving me the strength I need
    When everything seemed bleak

    It takes a special person 
    To do the things you do
    Something special in your heart
    Tells me much about you
