    Poem Commentary

    This poem is my first true " Christian " poem to appear on this website. I was asked by a good friend to write a poem about Jesus who really is my everything. I am so grateful to my Lord and my God that He has given me the talent and ability to create this form of art with words. In the future, I must not be so hesitant to write more Christian or Christian-themed poems. All I have to say is thank you Jesus for guiding my heart to get to write more about You. Amen.

    My Everything

     When I'm lonely and afraid
    And having a bad day
    What I need to do is stop
    And take the time to pray

    I pray to the Lord above
    To change my behavior
    Jesus Christ alone can help
    He is my God and Savior

    King of kings and Lord of lords
    It is to You I'll sing
    All the praises from my heart
    You've been my everything

    You're the Truth, the Life, the Way
    Creator of the seas
    And the earth and stars above
    I bow down on my knees

    I have come to worship you
    And lift your holy name
    Cleanse me of my sinful past
    I'll never be the same

    I'll be like a new creature
    Outside and from within
    You'll forgive and can forget
    A life that's rife with sin

    I love Jesus very much
    Because He first loved me
    Someday we will see His face
    Oh what a sight to see!

    Jesus is my everything
    I don't have to assume
    Thank You Lord for guiding me
    Since I was in the womb

    Jesus fills my heart with joy
    He can fill your heart too
    Overflowing with a love
    That's powerful and true

    Jesus is my everything
    His light never gets dim
    I have faith and inner peace
    And owe my all to Him

    A wonderful blessing and gift our Lord and savior Jesus christ is. We all need to remember that he loves us. He is my everything and I rely on him everyday to make choices and pray that I can live a righteous and shameless life. to God the father . Christ be the glory forever and ever amen.
