Skeleton
Stripped down to my fragile coreYou have cast heavy stones
Tearing right into my flesh
And cartilage and bones
I've been torn up, wounds exposed
An anger has awoken
You got to the depths of me
Yet nothing has been broken
From the marrow of my bones
That shape my battered frame
You will never see me cry
And I won't curse your name
Thought you'd break my skeleton
Essential to my form
It seems thin within my skin
Yet weathers any storm
You can't break this skeleton
Don't hurt me any more
Do not waste your stones on me
Just drop them on the floor
