    Compensating

    I've made a mistake again
    And angered you this time
    What I did was horrible
    As though it was a crime

    I feel like a criminal
    This guilt I have is strong
    Now I am determined to
    Put right what once was wrong

    How can I convince you that
    I've changed my sinful ways?
    Wanting to be forgiven
    I'm not expecting praise

    I will be compensating
    And make up for each fault
    All the damage that I do
    Will be put to a halt

    I can make up for each flaw
    Believe me, this is true
    You're upset, I do regret
    Each time that I've hurt you

    I can't wait to compensate
    For you deserve my best
    Please don't leave me, stay right here
    That is my one request

    Please don't leave me in the dark
    I want to see the light
    Shine your love down upon me
    And all will be alright
