Salt
Some people live out their livesWithout much they can savor
Joy can be the spice of life
Some crave the sweetest flavor
Some have tasted victory
Yet they're empty, but why?
When their wins felt meaningless
Some had the urge to cry
I've cried an ocean of tears
A sea of constant brine
Feeling sorry for myself
A man without a spine
I have tasted sadness, so
Everything seemed my fault
I can still sense how it tastes
Sadness tastes just like salt
They say anger tastes bitter
And happiness is sweet
Sometimes life also needs salt
To make our lives complete
