    Important

     What is the significance
    Of all that I have done?
    Why do I question my life?
    Am I the only one?

    Was I put here on this earth
    So I could take up space?
    I must have a purpose in
    What's called the human race

    Suicidal thoughts scared me
    I thought I lost control
    Then you came into my life
    To comfort and console

    You made me feel important
    And took away my stress
    My life was no accident
    Life is not meaningless

    You brought peace into my heart
    And joy that rescued me
    You have saved me from myself
    I finally feel free

    I'm important, so are you
    I don't regret my birth
    From now on, my fears are gone
    A life is of great worth

    I think the poem by Michael Michalas is great! It helps give hope to those who have giiven up.

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
