When The Right One Comes
When the right one comes
he will just know
the universe becomes focused
on a one man show
Colors are more vibrant
like some soap commercial
and every boy running around
will collide into a random girl
So come on
pin a label on me
so white and uptight
unable to sleep
comatose for half the night
Writing these words
pointless, self deprecating slurs
This picture
some sun lit porch
there is a man there
with oil stained pants
Maybe in some other time
he senses something more
as he looks right through
the insubstantial shadow
that he's become
A lit cigarette
the poisonous plume
just taints the room
but its been 10 years
since he finally quit
and this ash tray
is a stepping stone
to an early grave
Glass of whiskey
swallowing amber liquid
feeling its intoxicating fire
now the world slows down
Don't want to open up
already experienced too much
all he ever wanted
was some sort of reciprocation
