Boundaries
Making a cryptic declaration
unseen yearnings
falling out of the woodwork
Can't rightfully answer
what isn't truly known
Certain words and phrases
can only coat ones mouth
just another tedious phase
laugh until it fades away,
not hiding on some dilapidated couch
Draw the line
drawn and quartered
always finding the time
crossing another border
defining whose boundaries?
It never made much sense to me
never mind the liabilities
just another drama
laid out on some table,
now go and get your fill
Time never seems to stand still
even the dust on the window sill
dances quaintly
if one listens faintly
to these clandestine conversations
From the heart
way deep inside
maybe it's time to seriously pry
breaking down walls,
having a good cry
May even try one of these days
to find a place of permanence
somewhere to call home
somebody at this side,
instead of another night alone
These soiled words
that crumble from this mouth
taste of blood and copper
sentiments of deep complexities
from life's wayward mysteries
