New Dawn
The mystery is still here
alive and strangely well
finding humor in the darkest places
alone in a sea of bobbing faces
Bringing a smile to souls unseen
plowing through life
in this half awakened dream
following a muses means
Taking this to wherever it calls
silently reflected down sacred halls
streams of light caress the walls
confessing secrets in hallowed stalls
Light dancing on a reflective lake
initials carved into a park bench
only to slowly weather away
after countless nights and days
Reinterpreting the environment
structures of glass,concrete and steel
witness hairline cracks in the foundation
needle sprays from a fountain
Just striving to reach out
see the world through these eyes
going on about this round-a-bout
towards a new dawn on the rise
