Cling
Giving me the cold shoulder
as you turn that head
and the flakes fall from a tired scalp
watching you disintegrating,
right before my very eyes
yet the lies hang heavy in the air
unspoken tokens of some alternate life,
that hasn't been discovered yet
Looks of disapproval
generated by a supposed evil eye
yet I stare back,
watching it cloud over
primed past ridiculous judgments,
holding sway to some higher morality
yet never quite scrapping yourself
from the primordial sewage,
to which you cling...
