Displaced
He is displaced
it is written all over his face
dripping from sad eyes
life holds no surprise
Please call social services
cart him away from your life
dump him at the curb
watching him fold inward disturbed
Emailing disconnected siblings
wondering how to reach
without a prepared speech
trying to bridge a faulty breach
But he is quite aware of his surroundings
seeing everything through blue eyes
going to make his own stand
crush the fakeness
from their outstretched hands
Sure they will read this
maybe come around
or forever resist
adding them all to his 'write-off' list
It was you
with soothing words
buried in niceties
yet crawling thoroughly with dirt
Hard to believe
he once looked up to her
but reality tends to fade
cherished memories end up burned
