Undone
In my dreams, he was thereright next to me,
clinging protectively
everything was perfect
too good to be true
woke up this morning,
he dissipated into the gloom
this startling truth unveiled too soon
Felt gripping fingers,
now nothing but dust
catching the spark of light
reflecting off the morning sun
came to the realisation,
that I am undone...
In another foreign city,
another time and place,
I too dissipated away,
remembering this startled look on his face
reaching out to nothing,
the world just fades away
