Achieving Serendipity
I could be respectable
or I could portray an imbecile,
what shall I be today?
Maybe pathetically remorseful,
full of piss and vinegar,
angry at the world at large
I can only be me,
corrupt as only the jaded can be
never having reasons
turning with the seasons
hoping to achieve serendipity
Trying not to be intolerant,
though breeding fools
seem to follow double standard rules
applied to everyone but themselves
Only seem to pray
when the world doesn't go their way
isolation is a rather time worn trick
doublespeak is laid on thick
must I laboriously wallow away through it?
